150 years of Hotel Hari
In 1873, teacher Christian Hari hosted the first guests on the Schlegeli and thus not only founded the Hotel Hari, but also tourism in Adelboden.
150 years have passed since then. We are still happy about every guest who spends a few days on holiday with us in the beautiful Bernese Oberland and recovers holistically.
“Arrive and feel good” – what Christian Hari made possible for his guests through his tireless efforts is still our motto today. Celebrate 150 years of Hotel Hari with us!
The events
We will celebrate our anniversary with 3 events at once: once with our shareholders, once with the village population and of course with our guests.
On 15 April 2023 is the anniversary general meeting. On 11 June 2023, we celebrate with an Alliance service and an aperitif for the whole village: all are welcome.
Finally, we celebrate with a selection of our most loyal regulars, who may not have been with us for 150 years, but have been with us for decades. Without all of you, we wouldn’t exist.
The video
For our 150th birthday, we are giving ourselves a present: a contemporary hotel video. “Arrive and feel at home.” So that others can experience this too.
Katja H. comes to the Hotel Hari on holiday. She admires the fantastic view, relaxes in the good beds, enjoys the fellowship at dinner, pampers herself in the spa, climbs the mountains and allows herself peace and time for herself.

Die Geschichte
150 Jahre bringen so einiges an Geschichte mit sich: Von den Gründern zu den neuen Häusern, von der ersten Blütezeit zur Neuzeit.
Schon klar, dass wir diese Geschichte mit euch allen teilen: In einer sauberen, schmucken Jubiläumsbroschüre. Denn unsere Geschichte ist auch eure Geschichte.
Wir sind mit Hochdruck am stöbern, schreiben, suchen und scannen. Bis das alles unter Dach und Fach bzw. zwischen zwei Seiten ist, verweisen wir gerne auf die Geschichte auf unserer Webseite.
The project
After 150 years, we are setting out for the future: We are building a new main building! And thus lay the foundation for the next 50 to 100 years. For us and our guests.
A convincing project is being developed. The municipality and the canton are behind it. The building application will be submitted soon. Then we can say more about it. Or even better, build it right away.
A standstill is the final stand. We are still a long way from that point. We’re still on the move. So that in 150 years we will still be there for you with joy.
